I painted this small piece while I was working on a huge painting. It was a much needed break and distraction from the larger painting. While I had a variety of beautiful colors mixed from the large painting I went to town with my palette knife and thick paint on the small canvas. I captured the view of this farm field with my camera on a trip from South Bend to Indianapolis. I was disappointed that it rained during the drive, but after the storm broke it gave way to a dramatic sky filled with heavy clouds.
